Live rural, quiet and private
Staying at the Torpet is like stepping straight into a living countryside idyll. Drink your morning coffee on the porch, overlooking the garden and the unique waterfall.
For dinner, you may have caught a trout from one of the nearby fishing waters. You eat it in the bright, rustic kitchen or outside in the garden. Or why not pack a picnic basket and walk down to the lake? There you have access to the Torpet’s boat and canoe, as well as the village swimming area with sauna and barbecue facilities.
The weather in Sweden varies, even in winter. But it is often cold with clear, star-filled skies. Then you relax in the comfortable sofas in front of the stove in the living room, while the sheep enjoy their hay in the barn.

You stay on a farm, on your own
You stay entirely on your own at the Torpet. In addition to the main house, there is a simple gazebo in the garden, a sauna by the waterfall, a larger storage building, the sheep house, and a root cellar.
The sheep graze around the farm. When you rent the Torpet, visits to them are included, and if you wish, you can usually watch one of the herding dogs working with the sheep.
If you are very lucky, you may spot one of the forest’s many moose — and with even more luck, you might glimpse the Nix, a mythical water spirit from Nordic folklore, said to play haunting music in streams and rivers.

Well-equipped holiday accommodation
The Torpet is rurally charming, comfortable, and well equipped. There is a kitchen with a large dining table, a living room with comfortable sofas, a bathroom with a shower, and a bright entrance hall on the ground floor. In the inner part of the living room there is a so-called daybed — a regular bed designed to look like a sofa.

Garden with sauna
There are barbecue areas with outdoor furniture in the garden, and the option to eat in the simple gazebo. A short distance away, by the waterfall and the edge of the forest, stands the small wood-fired sauna.
You might wonder if there are mosquitoes here. They do appear occasionally, but in such small numbers that it is rarely a problem. To be safe, many birdhouses have been put up — the birds do their job.
